  • Security Monitoring and Malware Scanning Continuous monitoring for malware, unauthorized changes, suspicious login attempts, and known vulnerability patterns. When something’s wrong, we know about it before you do.
  • Uptime Monitoring Your site is checked every minute for downtime. If it goes down, we’re alerted and respond — without you having to notice or report it.
  • Performance Monitoring and Optimization Ongoing monitoring of page speed, Core Web Vitals, and overall site performance. We tune caching, optimize images, clean up databases, and address performance regressions as they appear — not after they hurt your rankings.

Our security approach covers four layers:

  1. Prevention. Plugins and themes are kept current. Unused plugins are removed. File permissions are correctly configured. Login URLs are hardened. Two-factor authentication is enforced where appropriate. Security headers are properly set.
  2. Monitoring. Continuous monitoring for malware signatures, unauthorized file changes, suspicious login activity, and known vulnerability patterns. Alerts are routed to us, not to you — we investigate and act.
  3. Response. Frequently Asked Questions

If your site matters to your business — generates leads, takes orders, represents your brand — then yes. WordPress sites without active maintenance accumulate security vulnerabilities, performance issues, and broken functionality over time. The question isn’t whether problems will appear; it’s whether you’ll catch them early (with a Care Plan) or discover them when something breaks badly (without one).

We fix it. For most issues, this is covered by your plan with no additional charge. For complex problems beyond the monthly scope (like a major plugin failure or compatibility issue), we’ll let you know upfront whether additional work is needed and what it costs. We never start unbudgeted work without your approval.

Yes. There are no long-term contracts. Plans bill monthly and can be canceled at any time. We’ve found that clients who’d be locked in by contract aren’t the clients we want — we’d rather earn renewal every month.

No. Our Essential and Standard plans work with any reasonable host. Our Premium plan includes managed WordPress hosting, but you can keep your existing host on that tier too if you prefer — pricing adjusts accordingly.

We strongly recommend against “just updates” as a service. Updates without backups, monitoring, and rollback capability create more risk than they prevent. If budget is a concern, our Essential plan is designed to provide complete coverage at the lowest practical price.

Standard and Premium plans include plugin license management — we track expirations, handle renewals, and pass through license costs at our discount (often significantly cheaper than retail). Essential plan clients manage their own licenses.

Yes. New Care Plan clients receive a complimentary onboarding audit covering security, performance, and current state. If significant remediation is needed before regular care can begin, we’ll scope that as a separate one-time project.
