A WordPress Agency Built on a Simple Idea
Every project gets the founder. Every client gets a senior expert. Every site gets built right — the first time, and for the long run.
What dot832 stands for
The WordPress industry has a problem: most agencies sell you the senior expert in the sales call and then assign your project to a junior developer, an offshore contractor, or a project queue. Quality suffers. Communication breaks down. Sites launch behind schedule and break in ways nobody can explain afterward.
dot832 was founded to fix that.
We’re a WordPress design and development studio built around three things: a deliberately small client base, a founder-led delivery model, and a long-term view of every project. We work with organizations that value quality, accountability, and a real human relationship — and we politely turn down work that doesn’t fit.
The founder-led model
Every dot832 project is personally led and worked on by founder Tim Burkart. That’s not a marketing line — it’s how we deliver. Tim writes the strategy, designs the architecture, builds the site, manages the launch, and supports it afterward. When you email dot832, Tim answers.
This means we work with fewer clients at a time than a typical agency. It also means our clients get:
- Direct access to a senior expert — not an account manager, not a junior, not an offshore team
- Faster decisions and turnarounds — the person you’re talking to is the person who can fix it
- Consistent quality — code, design, and strategy that all come from the same hands
- One person accountable — no finger-pointing, no “that’s outside our scope”
For specialized work that genuinely benefits from extra expertise — high-end visual design, niche plugin development, aggressive SEO campaigns — we partner with a small network of independent specialists. (More on that below.) But every partner is selected, briefed, and overseen by Tim. You still work with Tim. The specialists work with us.
Meet Tim Burkart, founder

Tim has been building websites since 1999 — six years before WordPress even existed. Over 25 years, he’s worked across nearly every era of the modern web: from hand-coded HTML through the rise of CMS platforms, the shift to mobile, and the current age of performance-, security-, and search-driven design.
He founded dot832 to bring senior-level WordPress expertise to small and mid-sized organizations — clients who deserve the same quality that big agencies reserve for enterprise accounts, but without the agency overhead, the project bureaucracy, or a rotating cast of subcontractors.
Tim has built sites for nonprofits, churches, professional services firms, product startups, and other agencies (as a white-label partner). His client work includes organizations like Refresh Computers, Hands For an African Child, and Adaptive Technologies, alongside 50+ others.
A small, trusted network of specialists
Some projects need more than one set of hands. A brand designer with a particular aesthetic. A developer with deep expertise in a specific plugin or framework. An SEO specialist for an aggressive growth campaign. For those, dot832 partners with a carefully chosen network of independent professionals Tim has worked with over many years.
Every specialist is vetted, briefed, and overseen by Tim personally. We don’t subcontract to whoever’s cheapest — we collaborate with people whose work we genuinely trust. The result: you get specialist expertise exactly where it matters, without losing the single-point-of-contact model that makes dot832 work.
How we think about the work
Quality over volume. We’d rather do five excellent projects than fifteen mediocre ones. Our client list is intentionally small.
Long-term over launch-day. A website’s real test isn’t how it looks on launch day — it’s how it performs five years later. We build for that horizon.
Plain language over jargon. Web development is complicated; explaining it to you shouldn’t be. We translate the technical into the practical, every time.
Accountability over excuses. When something breaks — and in software, sometimes it does — we own it, fix it, and learn from it. No finger-pointing, no “that’s not in scope.”
“Tim has great respect for your concerns, and his willingness to help others is phenomenal. He speaks in your terms, for understandability. If you need help with your website or hosting, he needs to be your contact.”

We work with a small number of clients at a time — by design. If you’re considering a WordPress project, whether it’s a new site, a rebuild, ongoing support, or a stubborn technical problem nobody else can solve, let’s talk. The first conversation is free, there’s no pressure, and you’ll talk directly to me.
